Beethovens Geburtsstadt Bonn
Beethoven, und ein Interview mit Maestro Evan Rogister,
Auftakt zur Neuen Saison des Florida Orchestras
In today’s show we have the
joyful occasion of speaking with guest Maestro Evan Rochester who conducts the
opening concert of the season, Beethoven’s ninth symphony, the Ode To Joy.
The maestro who is a German
American citizen, has had a career on both sides of the Atlantic and though he
learned German later , had the benefit of his German grandmother, an opera
singer herself, who played many German Lieder ( lee-der) in the home where he
grew up. The German language was ever present and he enjoyed learning it.
Maestro … speaks about the concert and his work in at the Opera in Berlin.
Please visit the Florida
Orchestra website and support this wonderful jewel in West Florida , the season
begins this weekend. www.floridaorchestra.org
.
Our Oktoberfests continue,
find us there as well. Please join the New
Port Richey German American Club at their Oktoberfest , Wednesday, October 16th
at 2pm.

In
